The new exhibition Neuer Norden Zürich – Kunst im öffentlichen Raum shows around 40 artworks which deal with the transformation and development of the city living space. In addition to specific local historical aspects, the area of Schwamendingen and its impact on the neighborhoods is the central theme of the exhibition. One of the artworks is Josef Ganz im Silberfisch by Swiss-born artist Rémy Markowitsch, based on a photograph from the Josef Ganz Archives, standing outside In der Hub 16, the first address of Josef Ganz after moving to Switzerland in 1935. Nine years later, in 1944, the house was completely destroyed by accidental Allied bombing. The exhibition will run from 9 June to 2 September 2018.
